Water Update – Town of Abita Springs (Follow-Up)

Some residents have noticed discoloration in their water. The Town would like to confirm that the community’s water continues to meet all drinking water standards and remains suitable for all normal household uses.

While evaluations of the primary well are ongoing, the Town has a backup well in operation, ensuring uninterrupted service. We remain in coordination with the Louisiana Department of Health and will share updates as appropriate through official Town channels.

Water Update – Town of Abita Springs

During a routine inspection of the Town’s primary water well, a mechanical irregularity was identified. Additional evaluations, including camera inspection, are being scheduled to determine next steps.

The Town has notified the Louisiana Department of Health and St. Tammany Parish and is coordinating closely with them. At this time, we do not have additional details to share. Updates will be provided through official Town channels as soon as new information is available, ensuring residents receive timely and accurate information.

The Town’s administration is taking all necessary and prudent steps to safeguard our water system.
