Dear Neighbor,

Welcome to the Town of Abita Springs. Abita Springs is recognized and noted as a “unique, vibrant community where there are strong connections between the people and a special sense of place.”  Residents and visitors enjoy the National Scenic Abita River at the Trailhead Park and easy access to the Tammany Trace. The Trailhead Museum highlights the town’s rich history and sponsors the annual En Plein Air Exhibit along with other activities including the Whole Town Garage Sale.  Festivals and special events held throughout the year include the Push-Mow Parade, the Earth Fest with its Pollination Day Parade, the Busker Festival, and the Water Festival. You can attend the Abita Art and Farmer's Market every Sunday from eleven to 3pm at the Trailhead Park, sample our renowned Abita Beer at one of the Town’s local restaurants, and visit the Abita Springs Opry six times a year. The Town Hall also hosts a monthly Cajun Dance with live music.

We invite you to attend our public meetings generally held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall. All are encouraged to participate.

My staff and I are available to assist you and we welcome your input. Please feel free to contact us by phone at 985-892-0711, or you may visit our website for upcoming events, town information, and other town meeting dates at townofabitasprings.com and trailheadmuseum.com .

With Best Regards,
