Water Quality and System Update
The Town has received another set of water quality test results, and all results are clear. The water remains safe to drink, and the test report is attached for public review.
Residents will also have the opportunity to speak directly with officials, as the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has agreed to send two representatives to tonight’s Town Hall meeting to answer questions.
Meanwhile, construction of the water system interconnection is underway. Utilities, Inc. of Louisiana is working with the Town and its construction team, and work is proceeding as expected. Once installed and inspected, the interconnection will supplement the Town’s water supply and allow the Town to fully evaluate the primary well.
The Town will continue enhanced monitoring and testing and will provide updates as they become available.
