Cemetery 2 is located between Square 56 in Bossier City and Abita Springs. It is bounded by the following streets:

North/South: 11th Street and 12th Street

East/West: St. Joseph Street and St. John Street

To access the cemetery, use the gravel driveway located on 11th Street.



To have and to hold the use of the above granted plot to the grantee and to the conditions and restrictions which follow and which are now in force or which may hereinafter be adopted and the grantor here covenants to and with the grantee, his/her heirs and assigns, that it is lawfully seized of the above granted premises, and has good rights to sell and convey the use of the same for the purposes above expressed.

A simple transfer of a cemetery plot shall be done at no charge.

Administrative costs for document processing such as transfers shall be charged at Fifty ($50.00) dollars per hour with a Fifty ($50.00) Dollar minimum.

The number of burials allowed in each plot shall not exceed one casket (one human body) and two cremation receptacles or four cremation receptacles.

No transfer of any of the rights of the grantee shall be made except with the prior written consent of the Town of Abita Springs and no transfer shall be effective until such consent has been obtained.

The Town of Abita Springs, the grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Eighteen Hundred ($1800.00) Dollars paid to it, will assign forever, as a place of human burial, the use of a cemetery plot as described herein.

The maximum monument size for single and double plots shall be as follows:

Single 48” high x 46” wide x 12” deep b. Double 48” high x 78” wide x 12” deep

Monuments for multiple or family plots exceeding two, desiring to place a monument larger than that allowed for a” Double” must be approved by the mayor.
-
Etching is allowed only on the plot side of the monument. When the same owner owns plots which are back-to-back etching shall be allowed on both sides.
-
Burials shall be below ground, and no coping, slab, or any appurtenances to the grave shall be placed on the gravesite. It shall be left in its natural state.

The sole remedy for the correction of errors on the part of the cemetery authority is the performance of those actions as authorized in Louisiana Revised Statute 8:813.
