Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
As you may know, the Abita Springs Farmers’ Market takes place every Sunday rain or shine, at the Abita Springs Trailhead, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Tomorrow, Sunday, December 3rd at 4:00 p.m. when the Farmers’ Market closes, the Museum will host a poetry reading by Jack Bedell, the Poet Laureate of Louisiana. Mr. Bedell will read his work for approximately 20 minutes; the reading will be followed by a reception. At 6:00 p.m., the Town of Abita Springs will host the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. The weather should be lovely and the evening a fun celebration.
