Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Abita Springs Town Hall, 22161 Level Street.
All historic applications are due 10 days prior to the meeting date.

Important Information
You need a COA to make any changes to your property including but not limited to new construction, remodels, additions, and fences.

If you would like to build in area zoned historic or historic/residential, you must first apply for a certificate of appropriateness.

You are welcome to request a place on the agenda for discussion if you have questions.

Steps to Appear before the Historic Commission:
1. Fill out the Approval Application

2. Visit the Office to be added to the Historic Meeting Agenda. The deadline to be added to the agenda is 10 days before the meeting. See the meeting schedule here.

3. Attend the Historic Commission meeting.
