Town Hall Covid Update

Thank you to all who have expressed concern, prayers and well wishes for Mayor Curtis. He is feeling well and will return to work mid to late this week. Our goal is to prioritize the health, safety and well being of our residents and staff. With that goal in mind some employees will continue to work remotely this week and some will work from town hall socially distanced with masks required. Town Hall will be closed to to public. If you need help please call or email the appropriate department. Emails and phone numbers can be found on the town website at townofabitasprings.com. We are dedicated to making sure that all town business continues seamlessly.
Town Public Committee on January 5th has been canceled out of an abundance of caution.

Mayor Curtis has tested positive for Covid-19. At this time no other town employees have tested positive. Town Hall will be closed to visitors and Town Hall employees will work remotely on Wednesday December 30th. Town Hall was already scheduled to be closed on Thursday and Friday for the New Year holiday. Town Hall employees will quarantine until Monday January 4th out of an abundance of caution and to await test results and to allow for a thorough cleaning of Town Hall offices. Mayor Curtis and all town employees are following doctors' orders and CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid.
Public works employees will continue to work on Wednesday and will be on call Thursday through Sunday as previously scheduled. Please email or call Town Hall for assistance and the service will put you in contact with the appropriate person. As always call 911 in case of emergency.
