First Place in Cleanest City Contest!

We have officially received some fabulous news!!

Abita Springs has won First Place in the State Competition for the Cleanest City Contest for our size category.

Everyone should know that it is the first time that a first-time entry has ever won!!!

Both the Abita Garden Club and Keep Abita Beautiful want to thank the many volunteers which are way too many to mention but you know who you are! And thank you to the businesses who cleaned and beautified our town for this event. This contest reflected the importance of volunteers! We never could have achieved this special award without volunteers!

The judges will be returning to Abita Springs to present Mayor Lemons with a plaque in early June. We need to stay beautiful for their return and keep “OUR Little Piece of Heaven on Earth” beautiful every day after"!
