New Business Approvals

Many residents have had questions concerning new business approvals. New businesses are approved by the Town’s Planning and Zoning Commission. The Commission, established by virtue of the authority conferred by Louisiana Revised Statute 33:101 et seq., determines if the business activity conforms to the established zoning classification. The Mayor and the Board of Alderman have no authority to overturn the decision of the Planning and Zoning Commission regarding the recent Long Bridge application.
