Smithsonian Panel Discussion

The Abita Springs Trailhead Museum invites you to join us for our Hometown Teams exhibit event “In the Press Box with the Sports Legends.” This panel discussion will be held at the Abita Middle School gymnasium on Saturday, December 10 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Coach Bryan Gowland will act as emcee of the discussion and participants will include Mr. Ralph Menetre, and Coaches Jim Robertson, John Boudreaux, Michael Gowland, Donald Mathies, Greg Salter and Paul Paille [tentative]. Coach Jack Salter will also be in attendance.

The Smithsonian Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America exhibit celebrates the role of sports in our schools and communities. Our participants will share their experiences with us as we reflect on the impact sports have had on our lives and those our our family and friends. We will serve coffee and pastries from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.
