10TH ANNUAL ABITA SPRINGS 2018 EARTH FESTIVAL Saturday, March 24, 2018, noon to 4 ABITA SPRINGS TRAILHEAD Entry is free. COMFORTABLE SHOES and SUNSCREEN recommended. Festival is a rain or shine event. If there are dangerous winds or lightning predicted, decision to cancel will be made by 10 a.m. and posted on Friends of the Park facebook page or at abitapark.com. Festival will include green vendors, information booths, activities for kids, food, live music, a tree and plan

Engineering Projects Update- February 2018
Jean Thibodeaux Railroad Avenue - Contractor has ordered material and construction will start when the material arrives.
Recreational trails - Project permit application is being review by the US Army Corps of Engineers. We expect to receive the permit in February, but they may be delayed until March.
Abita Meadows - Currently in Final Stage Review and up for Preliminary approval. The majority of final stage comments have been addressed. Drainage maintenance - Developed
